Will denying the holocaust send you to prison?

I'm not saying i'm denying it, i actually think people who deny it are idiots but having freedom of thought is in the Bill of Rights in America.. And thinking that the holocaust never happened is exercising your freedom of thought and how can something the Bill of Rights says you can have be illegal?
