How to get my book pages back to normal haha?

i borrowed some books from a library and put them in my bag and i had a yoghurt explosion and the bottoms of all of the pages are ruined, they are hard, sticky and wavy and a different colour, is there any way i can make them look any better? as i have to give it back tomorrow and they look awful at the moment?? sorry haha silly question but theyre quite expensive so i'd have to pay for them if i give them back like that
