Anyone know this movie title?

I remember it was in 2007 they showed it on local tv so it must have come out a while ago but it looked pretty knew, i started watching about halve way and it was this war between us and Germany and i remember they were showing this old man looking at a grave and he was remembering what what happens.....i also remember there was this guy that was really scared until end of movie where he finally was able to pick up a gun... basically a holocaust movie with a old guy remembering what was happening while he was looking at someone grave..
